TONY'S HAS ITS VERY OWN CHOCOLATE FACTORY NOW!*

Drum rolls… And a big Hooray! We are so excited that Tony’s Chocolonely now has its own chocolate factory in Borsbeek!  Especially since it honors a beautiful, yearlong collaboration between two passionate companies. Let us take you back a bit.

In 2004, Althaea was the very first factory to make a prototype Tony’s Chocolonely bar, in the context of the TV show Keuringsdienst van Waarde at the time. The founders are even shown in the well-know Tony’s documentary. Many, many new flavours and countries later, Tony’s Chocolonely always continued to work with this lovely family company. In fact, the factory is still responsible for 40% of all production for Tony’s. So when Althaea was looking for follow-up, with no new generation to take over, the two companies started talking and decided the best move was for Tony’s to become the proud new owner. Result: we now have our very own Tony’s Chocolate Factory. Let’s raise our bar to that!
